Lazy Day and a quilt

Hello there my dears,

Hope you all have had a wonderful weekend.
Since the Rapture didn't get any of us, thought that I better post some stuff.

Today has been lazy day and  laundry day, I am not even making dinner as Lizard and your BOYFRIEND are in the kitchen making lasagna!!

In between laundry and watching Handsome Man get his butt kicked playing Bad Company, I did manage to squeeze in a mini quilt made out of some scraps I had.

It is 9 inches x 9 inches pinwheel design.
Pretty easy once you get the hang of it. Hardest part is getting your half square triangles sewn.
I don't have a picture of how I did it as these were in my scrap pile from a previous project.
Here are the basics
pinwheel quilt, quilting

I was trying to do a mug rug for work so we aren't using paper towels to place our drinks on. And the pinks should girly up the office a bit as I am the only female in my department! What do you think?

Hugs!

a shower and a quilt

Hello my dears,

Hope you are having a better weekend than mine.

First off my wallet was stolen sometime Thursday afternoon after I went to gas up my vehicle. No clue when, just know it was not in my purse last night when I went to pick up some foster kitties. Thank goodness my credit cards weren't in that wallet. Only my debt card, $16 and my driver license. So off to DMV monday to get a duplicate made. Yay, just the place I want to go after work. Hopefully I can get it done online.

Second, 2 more kitties in the mix. 7 total. Yes, I am becoming the crazy cat lady. ;-)
We now have Gabby, Gizmo, ( 3 orange tabbies; 2 girls and a boy) and Gilligan. Gordon the little sweet black kitty. I will try to get pictures of all of them together.

Third, I know you all have been waiting on a picture of the baby quilt I did for SIL.

So without further ado The baby quilt!

Check out my little Helper!
Check out those mismatched socks on my little helper... Yep, that is how he rolls.

Some detail

I also made a flower to go with it out of the left over material. It is removable from the quilt so SIL can put it on some other place so the baby won't get hurt or eat it.

Also, my first ever covered Button!
So the Baby shower was great! SIL made out like a bandit. The cutest baby girl clothes I have seen in a while. And the most darling pillowcase dress with a little story of how the pillow case dresses came about. Though I have tried looking googling the origin of pillowcase dresses I have yet to come up with something.

I also did yet another pair of booties.
don't why they look so wrinkled
I also had a bit of help making the booties.

Of course Marley had to help out.

SIL loved both of them and I am glad. ;-)

Until next time,
Hugs!!

Quilting

Hello my dears,

Hope you all are having a great Thursday!
This is my last day of work for the week! Three day weekend here I come.

So, I am going to a baby shower this weekend, as in Saturday... and I still have the binding left to do on the quilt I am making and make the few other things I promised. Can we say that Cherie's procrastination is getting the best of her this month week?

Well anyways, I would love to show you the quilt but someone (Sister in law) reads this blog.

This is the fabric I am using. Isn't it SWEET?
yes, we she is expecting a baby girl! I don't know who is more excited the new parents to be or me!
I can't wait as my girls are getting way too old to be dressed in onsies with frilly little tutus, matching hairbows and shoes. I also don't think Monkey Man would appreciate it! ;-)

What have you all been working on this week?

Ohhh, I won another giveaway! Mine for the Making giveaway by Kitty cats and airplanes etsy store during the Spring Fling she was holding! I can't wait to see my present award.

Until next time,
HUGS!
