my first upcycle

Hello My dears,

How have you all been doing?

This week has been busy and tiring for me. So much so that last night I had to stop moving around and lay in the bed in pain from my hip all the way down to my ankle. Nothing was helping, it happens as I have a bad hip that i may want to get looked out.

But earlier in the week I did do my first upcycle of a t-shirt that had a couple of oil stains and the shirt didn't fit right. Walmart t-shirt that stretch out weird after washing, which is probably why it was in the back of the closet.

I never did take any pictures of the process that I did for the shirt. There are soo many tutorials out there. I know that Kimbo over at AGAGG. Though I didn't exactly follow any directions. I mostly had something in my head and went with it, which is not something I usually do. STEP OUT OF THAT COMFORT ZONE, Cherie.
First start hacking at the shirt, literally people. Just take a pair of scissors to it. Of course there was a plan and I drew it out first.
Cut the neck out.
Cut off part of the sleeves. I wanted something to go to my elbow.
Pinning my fingers trying to make neat seams all around, sewing, making a few rosettes from the left over sleeves and Voila! The newest cardigan in my collection!

Don't mind the faces... it was a little bright outside!

Whatcha think? Step out of that comfort zone gone wrong or do it again with another shirt. I have many many shirts that have something on them ;-)

Hugs!

Cherie
